LIMITED OBSTETRIC ULTRASOUND

WHAT IS A LIMITED ULTRASOUND?

The ultrasound that you receive at our center is limited, meaning we are trying to determine specific information about your pregnancy. What we are trying to determine is threefold:

  • Is the baby in the uterus?
  • What is the age of the baby?
  • Is there a heartbeat?

Our sonographer performs our Limited OB Ultrasounds to answer these questions. Our ultrasound services aren’t designed to be a full medical evaluation, but to help you better understand your situation, to rule out immediate health risks and equip you to make informed decisions about your pregnancy.

You owe it to yourself to get all the information you need to make the best decision about your pregnancy. Schedule a pregnancy test appointment. All of our services are free and confidential.

*Waller Pregnancy Care Center does not refer to or perform abortions.

HEALTH RISKS

ECTOPIC PREGNANCIES

An ectopic pregnancy is one in which the fertilized egg implants in an area outside of the uterus (for example, the fallopian tubes). About 1 in 50 pregnancies can be classified as ectopic.*

Know for sure if your pregnancy is properly positioned in the uterus with an ultrasound.

It is a very important thing to check for, as it can cause severe, and potentially life-threatening, issues that require immediate medical attention.

MISCARRIAGE

If your pregnancy is not viable (healthy), it will end naturally in a miscarriage.

Medical research has determined that up to 20% of known pregnancies end in early miscarriage.*

An ultrasound will help you know for sure if your pregnancy is viable.
